Please know that one of our staff members tested positive for Covid-19. We just found out yesterday (June 3rd) the results. Our staff member had multiple interactions with other staff/pastors. In addition, the staff member was in the building on Sunday, May 31st for the 11:00am service. The staff member was asymptomatic at the time of each interaction and while attending on Sunday. It was a day later that mild symptoms began and was tested. As a result, we wish to take every precaution because of the highly contagious nature and resilience of Covid-19 to spread easily and quickly.
We are closing the building beginning today (Thursday, June 4th) for a short time frame to deep clean and sanitize. In addition, we are suspending onsite Sunday gatherings for this Sunday (6/7) and next Sunday (6/14). We are taking these steps to clean and allow for time to kill any trace of the virus. The Elders and Deacons were consulted and support this course of action.
Sugar Grove Church still has its online gatherings for the foreseeable future. Please join us online for worship and teaching!
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our church offices or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Finally please pray for our staff/church that the virus stays isolated with no other positive cases. We look forward to the onsite services back on June 21!
